12 hour Reckless Aggressive Driving
Blessed Driving School, LLC receives regular calls and/or emails about a 12-hour Reckless Aggressive
Driver Education Program (RADEP). This page is for information purposes so you can make an informed decision.

Virginia’s Original Reckless & Aggressive Driver Education Program (RADEP)
Important: The 12-Hour Program is Two Separate Courses
If you have been ordered to complete a 12-hour reckless/aggressive driving program, please understand this is not one single class. It is actually two separate courses, each with its own certificate of completion:
-
8-Hour Driver Improvement / Defensive Driving Course (court- and DMV-approved)
-
4-Hour Reckless & Aggressive Driver Education Program (RADEP)
The 8-hour driver improvement course must be completed first. After that, you will register and pay for the 4-hour RADEP course, which is separate and has its own certificate.

About the Original RADEP
At Blessed Driving School, LLC, we are proud to partner with Mr. Johnson, the founder of Virginia’s original Reckless & Aggressive Driver Education Program (RADEP). Mr. Johnson developed RADEP in Richmond, Virginia, to specifically address reckless and aggressive driving behaviors — such as speeding excessively, tailgating, weaving in traffic, and road rage. His program has been trusted for years by Virginia courts, ASAP offices, and drivers needing to meet court or DMV requirements.

Why Not All “RADEP” Courses Are the Same
Some driving schools advertise “RADEP” but are not offering the authentic course created by Hatch Johnson. For example, the National Safety Council (NSC) sells a 4-hour Attitudinal Dynamics of Driving Program, which is a general behavior-based driver improvement course. While it can be beneficial, it is not the same as the Reckless & Aggressive Driver Education Program developed in Virginia and should not be confused with the original RADEP.
Please read your court documents carefully, if it specially states RADEP, you must take the course that we are providing because it is the original Reckless Aggressive Driver Education Program and not an imitation.
